Holden McCurry
North Carolina ceramic artist Holden McCurry began making clay towers and shrines after a trip to Mexico in 2001. He was inspired by the "colorful and creative forms found in the local artwork and architecture." This work quickly evolved and he began to make his prayer towers and friendship houses from earthenware clay.
Each tower has within a piece of handmade paper on which the owner may write a message or prayer of their choice. The special meaning given to the piece is completely up to the owner. Since every tower is hand made, employing various colors, symbols and textures, no two will be the same. Please call us to hear about our current selections!
