Michael Daniels Collection Jewelry offers rings, pendants, bracelets, brooches, and earrings in a variety of Mokume Gane designs and color patterns. Each pattern is created from several metals, to produce a particular design and style.
Mokume Gane Mokume Gane (moh´-coo-may gah´-neh) is the ancient and difficult art of fusing layers of precious and semi-precious metals until they can be worked as one.
Different metals in the layers form patterns in contrasting colors, and the result is a single piece of intricate design, with distinctive water or wood-grain markings (mokume in Japanese means “wood-grain”; gane means “metal”), which can be formed into fine jewelry.
